Welcome to the home of the Capricorn Coast Retravision-Yeppoon Coast Guard Tight Lines Fishing Classic. It's half way through 2009 and it's time to think seriously about getting those tickets for this years event if you haven't already done so. It's almost time for the 2nd Tight Lines Fishing Classic!
The inaugural 2008 Tight Lines Fishing Classic had definitely proven to be a success and with the 2009 event drawing ever nearer, we are now well into the final stages of preparations. As well as many of our 'old' sponsors, we have gratefully accepted the support of several new ones. The committee has swung into action early for this year's comp, drawing on the hard earned knowlege and experiences of the inaugural event to bring you an even bigger and better classic.
There are some wonderful prizes up for grabs this year, and the good news is that you only have to enter and be at the event to be in the running to win! (See the event rules and conditions for the details.) So even if you're not a fisherperson, you can still come down to Rosslyn Bay and give yourself a chance to win some great prizes. Don't forget that there will be entertainment, stalls for drinks, food and other merchandise. Click on the link above to see just some of the prizes! (coming soon!)
On Saturday 8/8/09 during the festivities, there will be a Seafood cooking demonstration incorporating wine matching between 11:30am and 04:30pm which I'm sure will attract keen interest.
For the fisherman among you, the perpetual Trophy shown below is up for grabs again this year for the top angler. Now's the time to think about getting your gear and mates organised in preparation for the event ahead.
The 2009 rules are now on the web with instructions on how to enter. The option for you to be able to pay securely online if you should choose is now available, see the link at the top of this page. This new entry form gives you several options to make your payment. If you would still prefer to enter as per last year's method, then click here to print off a nomination form, complete the details, and then follow the instructions to send it in.
